Questions in Indirect (Reported) Speech

בשאלות כלליות, אין צורך להשתמש בצורת שאלה - הרי במצב זה אין צורך לענות - זו רק העברה של דברי מישהו אחר. במקום זאת, חברו את פסקת המשנה לסעיף הראשי עם המילים if או whether. 

אין כאן צורך בסימן שאלה בסוף משפטים כאלה.

אם זו שאלה מיוחדת (עם מילת שאלה ספציפית), אז גם if ו- whether לא נדרשים - פשוט התחילו את פסקת המשנה בשאלה מתאימה, ואז השתמשו בסדר המילים הרגיל - לא שאלה.
