אם לא נרצה לתאר אף אחד, אלא להיפך, נרצה שמישהו או משהו יתואר לנו, המילים am, is, are  יעברו לתחילת המשפט שלנו. זכרו, רק כך ניתן להבין שנשאלת שאלה!

כאשר  נשמע  את המילים האלו בתחילת משפט, נבין מיד ששואלים אותנו שאלה לגבי תיאור של מישהו או משהו. בואו נראה:

 "am", "is" ו-"are"?

אם השאלה מכילה את המילה is, אז היא צריכה להופיע גם בתשובה (אם התשובה שלילית, אז אל תשכח את המילה not אחריה)!
