Ben: Yes, but now I feel closer to it.

Ben: Yes. This is also an exciting moment for me.

3️⃣ English Explanation

In this lesson, we learn four useful expressions about school work and learning:

to find out, to go over, to hand in, and to give up.

To find out means to learn or discover information.

To go over means to look at something again in order to check or revise it.

To hand in means to give your work to a teacher or another person in charge.

To give up means to stop trying.

These expressions are very useful in school situations, especially when students talk about homework, tests, mistakes, and learning progress.

6️⃣ Funny Story / סיפור מצחיק

On Wednesday, the class has a small English test. Ben looks at the paper and says, “Interesting. I know some of these words from a different life.” The teacher says, “Please start.” Ben writes one answer, then stops. Anna whispers, “Do not give up.” Ben whispers back, “I do not give up. I just think very slowly.” After ten minutes, Ben finds out the answer to question two. He smiles like a great scientist. Then he goes over question one and sees a silly mistake. He fixes it. At the end of the lesson, the teacher says, “Please hand in your tests.” Everyone walks to the desk. Ben also walks to the desk, but very carefully. “Why are you so slow?” asks the teacher. “Because,” says Ben, “when I hand in my test, my future becomes real.” The teacher takes the paper and says, “Good. Next time, go over your work a little faster.” Ben smiles and says, “I will find out how.”

"למה אתה כל כך איטי?" שואל/ת המורה. "כי," אומר בן, "כשאני מגיש את המבחן שלי, העתיד שלי נהיה אמיתי." המורה לוקח/ת את הדף ואומר/ת: "טוב. בפעם הבאה תעבור על העבודה שלך קצת יותר מהר." בן מחייך ואומר: "אני אגלה איך."
