🤝 Focus of the lesson: joining activities, doing things together, continuing after a pause, and beginning again.

In this lesson, we learn four useful expressions about group activities and classroom participation:

to take part, to join in, to carry on, and to start over.

To take part means to participate in an activity, game, event, or discussion.

To join in means to enter an activity that other people are already doing.

To carry on means to continue doing something.

To start over means to begin again from the start.

These expressions are very useful for classroom games, teamwork, school projects, and everyday situations when we stop, continue, or begin again.

6️⃣ Funny Story / סיפור מצחיק

On Thursday, the class plays a word game. The teacher puts the pupils in small teams. Anna is ready. Leo is ready. Ben is also ready, but in a dramatic way. “Ben,” says the teacher, “please take part in the game.” Ben looks at the cards and says, “I want to take part, but the words look dangerous.” The class laughs. “Do not worry,” says Anna. “Just join in.” So Ben joins in. At first, he does very well. Then he reads one word wrong and stops. “I cannot carry on,” he says. “My brain needs tea.” The teacher smiles and says, “You can carry on. It is only one mistake.” Ben tries again. Then he drops all the cards on the floor. He looks at the mess and says, “Good. Now we can start over in a more organised way.” In the end, Ben’s team does not win, but everyone laughs, works together, and finishes the game happily.
