קורה גם ש - להיפך - הפעולה לא מתרחשת עכשיו. איך נאמר זאת? זה מאוד פשוט: הוסיפו not אחרי am, is או are, אל תשכחו מהפועל עם ing - וזהו! is not ו-are not ניתן לקצר - isn’t ו-aren’t. יוצא:

ing+ פועל +am not

ing+ פועל +is not

ing + פועל +are not

.I am not playing on the computer

.He is not playing on the computer

.He isn’t playing on the computer

.They are not playing on the computer 

.They aren’t playing on the computer

.I am not watching TV

.She is not watching TV.      She isn’t watching TV

.They are not watching TV. They aren’t watching TV

.I am not eating

.We are not eating

.We aren’t eating

אנא זכרו שמשפטים אלו מציינים שהפעולה לא מתרחשת באופן זמני. לא בהכרח קורת כרגע, אבל אולי בתקופה הזו. למשל בגלל שהמחשב עובר תיקון, או שיש הרבה בדיקות השבוע, או פשוט בגלל שבימים אלה יש עוד הרבה דברים חשובים ודחופים לעשות.
